Sometimes it’s so hard to discern when to say no (or yes) to things.
If you can learn to connect with your body, it will tell you (maybe with a slight gut or throat tightening, a clench in the jaw, maybe a tingle up the spine or an opening of the heart).
We often ignore these subtle signals and rush to the answer that appears to be best for others or our fear/ego, and then our body has to deal with the discourse which can cause symptoms like fatigue and inflammation and emotions like resentment and overwhelm.
Next time you’re faced with a decision that’s not immediately a heart filled yes or a no, take a deep breath, go inside, ask God/Spirit and connect with the answer that’s not only best for you, but is probably best for everyone involved – since we’re all connected.
xo,
