Complete Healing Integration

Healing happens on ALL LEVELS – the energetic, emotional, mental, spiritual levels of consciousness but healing must be processed and released on the physical level too –  THROUGH the body.

This is why some people release tears/cry/sob during body work, yoga or even intense exercise. Or why menstruating/cycling females can get more emotional…

A physical therapist I work with said, “Blood, sweat and tears is part of healing.” (as my tears flowed on her treatment table).

I completely agree and would also add: snot, phlegm, puss, rashes. sores, mucus, bile, poop and pee as well. 😖

The emotional energy that has been inadvertently stored in the body from trauma, patterns of emotional suppression and/or day-to-day emotional challenges HAS TO BE FELT AND RELEASED….otherwise you continue CARRYING it…

…and when you keep carrying it, this energy being held in the body can eventually manifest physically in a variety of ways:

  • excess weight
  • pain/movement difficulty
  • digestive symptoms
  • hormonal imbalances
  • fatigue/exhaustion
  • brain fog/memory loss
  • mental health/anxiety/depression
  • behavioral patterns/disorders
  • lack of motivation/drive/low desire
  • toxicity
  • suppressed immunity
  • auto immunity
  • skin/hair/nail/dental issues
  • hypertension/heart disease
  • cancer or any other dis-ease state

This is why it’s so important to do the inner work AND as you do, to connect with and integrate the body in the healing process. Some simple ways to do this:

  • exercise/stretching/yoga/dance
  • body work
  • being in/grounding in nature/earthing/forest bathing/gardening
  • immersing in water
  • breath-work
  • talking/singing/shouting/screaming
  • writing/creating/art
  • DIY somatic body connection (lay down, relax, scan and connect with the sensations in your body, sensing what it has to tell you)
  • touch/petting/hugging (pets, self or others)
  • sex

If you do happen to get sick or feel symptoms, know that the “dis-ease” manifesting is a messenger trying to get your attention.

Instead of just rushing to fix what’s wrong with you or to get a diagnosis or remedy, use the signs of illness as an opportunity for deeper self inquiry – such as:

  • What is my body trying to tell me?
  • What am I trying to heal or let go of?
  • How have I not been paying attention or ignoring earlier signs?
  • Where have I been going against my needs, inner knowing and deeper truths?
  • Am I in misalignment? lack? worry? Why?
  • Am I allowing feelings and emotions to be experienced or am I stuffing them down/numbing them or distracting myself from them?
  • What am I afraid of?
  • Where am I not honoring my own boundaries, limits and needs for rest and true nourishment?
  • Is my mental/Primal/Survival mind dominating or am I allowing my heart to guide me?
  • Do I trust my self, Life itself, God?  Why? How can I move more into trust?

As you integrate the understanding, awareness and eventual shift, surrender or letting-go on the emotional level with the feeling, processing and release within the physical body, healing (in that specific area) is more complete. 🥰
